Originally from Rochester, New York, I’ve lived in Tokyo and now reside in San Francisco.

I’m a product designer and applied AI systems researcher focused on how AI systems behave once they move beyond analysis and begin making operational decisions.

Over the past decade I’ve worked across industries including solar energy, fintech, property technology, and large-scale e-commerce at Amazon, designing systems that operate at global scale.

More recently my work has focused on AI system architecture, exploring how governance, execution control, and reproducibility can make AI systems reliable in real-world environments. I build working prototypes that demonstrate how probabilistic models can operate within deterministic execution frameworks, enabling systems that are auditable, replayable, and safe to evolve over time.

I’m the inventor on four U.S. patents related to applied AI systems, focusing on governance, deterministic execution, and reproducible AI decision infrastructure.

This work sits at the intersection of product design, systems architecture, and applied AI research.

Fun facts

I'm a former musician and self-taught guitar player. Accepted into The Berklee School of Music and Musicians Institute.

Despite my looks, I'm not ethnically Japanese. I self studied and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test n2 exam in 2017. It's one of my proudest achievements.

My artwork

Some artwork I made, inspired by music or movies I enjoy.
